We most often see frosted acrylic used for simple hanging pieces (so that seeing glue through the transparency isn't an issue).
The style of this material is pastel and light; when used with curvaceous and organic shapes it creates a stunning 'soft' end product.
Looks great when used as 'connecting' pieces for hanging earrings, especially when contrasted with materials that have a bold and/or gloss finish.
Cuts well and leaves a clean, smooth edge line that typically shows the core colour on the sides.
Engraves well and can hold fine details (engraved areas typically have a frosted white appearance). Engraving looks most effective on darker colours (so that it will show contrast).
Comes with a protective tape coating that will need to be peeled off.
It is difficult to capture colour correctly; allow for slight variation from monitor to reality.
